Description

I created this unit when teaching my daughter about two-dimensional shapes. I wanted to create a unit that involved lots of play while exploring the shapes.  

This is a cross-curricular unit that includes integration of literature, science, movement, art, music, and also involves fine motor skills practice.

Outline
* Build Interest- discussion questions

* Watch- one YouTube video and one free download 

* Game- instructions for game with flash cards

* Integrating Play- instructions for activity

* Read- one book with optional YouTube reading; also includes guide for reading

* Science Integration- activity instructions

* Art- includes two art activities; one involves shape stickers and other involves pattern blocks

* Watch- two YouTube videos; one interactive game, other a motion activity

* Extension Activities- a list of five free downloads on Teachers Pay Teachers

* Let’s Recap- discussion questions and glossary
