Hi! I’m Megan, the creator behind Sparks of Learning. I’m a homeschool mom of three, a former public school teacher, and a former kids pastor with a passion for helping families discover the joy of learning together.
Our family has experienced many seasons of learning—my oldest is a high school senior taking college classes and working part-time, while my younger two learn at home. Those different paths have deepened my appreciation for the flexibility and beauty of homeschooling and the value of helping each child thrive in their own way.
After years of teaching in the classroom and in ministry, I’ve seen how stories connect hearts and inspire lifelong curiosity. Now, as a homeschool parent, I love blending that experience into family-style lessons that are meaningful, flexible, and fun.
I take an eclectic approach to homeschooling, drawing inspiration from Charlotte Mason’s love of living books and the freedom of following each child’s unique interests. My goal is to create resources that spark curiosity, encourage rich conversation, and help families see that learning can happen anywhere—through great books, everyday moments, and a little creativity.
