Hens and Chicks | Short e Phonics Game and Worksheets

We love to play homeschool games for phonics rules! Hens and Chicks is a quick-paced, collecting game where players practice short e CVC words while moving around the chicken yard to gather chicks into their own 10-frame coop. 25 pages!

This file was created to help you to provide fun ways for your students to words with the short e vowel. This set includes the full-color folder gameboard with directions and component pieces, spelling pages for coloring or playdough practice, sorting worksheets, and paint dabber worksheets.

The teacher instruction page give you ideas for assembling the game, and for alternative activities to make the worksheets multisensory and hands-on!

When you purchase this game, you will be able to download it, print it in full color, and play! The worksheets can be used as a worksheet, but because our priority is multisensory instruction, the worksheets are designed to use for various hands-on activities. Color the words with crayons, use play dough to build the words, color them with thick markers and spray off the words with a spray bottle of water, use paint dabbers, and more!
